Because laminate floors are made of wood products, water or other liquids should never be in contact with the floors for any length of time. Use a damp cloth to mop up spills promptly. For stains from oil, lipstick, paint or markers, for example, use nail polish remover to gently and quickly wipe the area.
Laminate floors should be dusted often with an electro-static cloth or mop. They can be vacuum with the soft brush attachment but do not use the beater bar of the regular vacuum which can scratch the floor. When damp-mopping, use only a cleaning product that clearly states it is for use on laminate or wood floors.
